Romanian Leu Euro
On 1 July 2005 the Romanian Leu was revalued. A new Leu is now worth 10,000 old Leu. The official ISO code was also changed from ROL to RON. The Leu owes its name to the Dutch daalders who circulated in the country in the seventeenth century. These were provided with an image of a lion, and were called slate by the Romanians.
Convert Romanian Leu to Euro
The exchange rate of Romanian Leu Euro is not exactly stable. The Romanian Leu Euro ratio is roughly 1 to 4.3. However, it is not possible in the Netherlands to change Euros to Romanian Leu, because the currency is too unstable. The change from Romanian Leu to Euro is possible in Romania itself. The price of Roman Leu in relation to other currencies can simply be requested in the Netherlands.

The Romanian Leu is the currency of Romania. The official abbreviation for the currency in international trade is RON. Available coins are 1, 5, 10 and 50 Bani. 100 Bani is 1 Leu. Tickets can be obtained in the values 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Lei. The plural of Leu is Lei. Since July 2005 these notes have the same shape and size as the Euro notes. With a possible switch to the Euro, existing devices can then easily be adapted.
